Im looking into buying a 2012 kx450f in the summer this year and I want to buy one new(just leftover from the past year) because I hear the 2012 has a more wicked cam and I was wondering what a brand new 2012 will cost me?

Only way to find out is to call around to dealers and see what they will take if you find a 12 you could probably get it for cost (what the dealer paid)

My dealer wanted 6900 for the 12 but a 13 and 14 are only 7100 with the rebate

Just paid 5700 for a 12 with less than 10 hrs on it, and suspension was already done... guess I will see how I like it this weekend...

Just bought a 12 with around 20 hrs on it for 4500.

Rode the 12 today... my 06 is definitely no slouch... but this 12 RIPS!!!  Easily clearing obstacles now that required much more effort on the 06... I'm gonna keep both, but this 12 is worth many seconds/lap. Overpriced or not, worth every penny.  JMHO
