A LED bulb that fits H4 or H6 sockets...3000 lumens...HID performance without the ballast issues and amperage pull...

The only issue would be wiring the headlight to be polarized DC...

Here you go...cost about $10-20 from radio shack parts

I made two of these for my snowmobiles. I wanted a 12v source for running a GPS. My diagram kind of sucks, but you get the point

Follow the diagram, that shows you how to make it...now do not laugh at my solder job but here is the underside. This is a basic bridge rectifier. Technically you could get rid of the capacitor as you are only rectifying for the headlight but it doesn't hurt to keep it. You might save $2 if you dumped it, but then you could possible under volt the LEDs without it
