23rd of Feb 2014 got a bit of snow but for the most part McNutt is free and clear of the white stuff. Not unusual for it to have a bit of ice higher up though.

As far as I know I'm only going Sunday as usual. I work 10's all week so hard to get away for a ride. Night ride may be possible but it should be a bit warmer for that IMO. Starts to bite a bit up there at night, in the cold, in the snow and ice. You up to join in on Sunday your welcome.

And ya I finally wised up and parked the CRF and ride a Husaberg TE300 now, Wow what a difference.

I get Fridays off now as well so maybe that might work if the admiral will give me my day off...off!

Seems like I'm going to be the only one playing here so might as well keep posting up.

This was last Sunday, a far cry from the last 2 Sunday rides in a foot of snow. These upper areas were not even ride-able last week.

 

 

 

 

Wedged myself in a rut, 1st thing that has stopped me since getting this bike. If I had taken the line to the left I could have cleaned it but hit a rock in the mud and ended up in a rut.

 

 

These puddles are almost deep enough to swallow a bike, they look very deceiving when you ride up to them. First thing that happens is your front tire drops straight in and you almost go over, kind of alarming the 1st few times.

 

This trail was a river, I've never seen so much flowing water up here. Riding up this was nasty, yes it is quite steep no thanks to a GoPro for showing that.

 

 

No way I was going through that one. Did this puddle / lake a couple months ago when it was half this size and almost lost my 5hit.

Last Sunday (16th March 2014) great ride, wet as could be after several days of heavy rain. The trails were rivers and the puddles were lakes.

Found this puddle a bit deeper than I expected it would be, dropped right into the bars then stopped dead, fell over and drown the bike. Took an hour to get her going again.

The terrain was muddy, sloppy and slippery to say the least. No such thing as a good line across or over anything.

 

 

 

 

This did not end well, tried to stand her up and change direction but back tire was in a rut, we just rolled around in the mud like a couple little pigs for a bit until I got my shit together.

 

 

 

Rode up this last year for kicks, but it was dry.

Damn PC still won't edit my video's properly so all I can do for the moment is crop images from the raw footage. Here's some shots from yesterday on McNutt on the upper levels past "Big Log" trail and over towards "The Garden". We hit a small amount of snow and tons of mud, was an outstanding days ride.

Buddy wasn't following us so we all turned around and found him stuck in this hole. He got seriously stuck and his bike stalled out, and would not start.

 

Dug him out after unsuccessfully attempting to start his 300.

 

This is the 3rd guy to attempted to start that damn bike with no go. I was the 1st to try other than the owner of the bike and I thought it sounded strange when kicking it over.....

 

Wait a damn minute the pipe is plugged solid, no wonder it won't start ? We are so damn smart. Guess that happens when you loop it in the mud!
