Recommended Posts

Building an 05 YZ144 and was wondering what forks would be compatible? Will buy triples if need be.

Thanks,

Josh

OK. If you will buy with triples, you can choose among the following lists.

"with triples and axle shaft"

06-07YZ125 06YZ250F

"with triples and the axle shaft, replace the stem shaft."

06-07YZ250 06-07YZ250F

"with triples and the axle shaft. the right side wheel collar and brakes."

08-14YZ125 08-09YZ250F

"with triples and the axle shaft, the right side wheel collar and brakes. replace the stem shaft,"

08-14YZ250 08-13YZ250F 08-09YZ450F. 14YZ250F and 10-14YZ450F can be use too, but they are about 1/2in longer in structurally.

Of cause It's necessary for you to choose the spring and to reset valving for your use.

Except 14YZ250F and 10-14YZ450F, they are roughly categorized into four categories in structurally.

They are slightly different in length each other. However, it's not so serious.

And without triples, forks for 05 all YZ can be use.

04 forks can be use too. But the option will not give you any benefit as the suspension.

Thanks for the reply. Went in and bought a pair of 2003 YZ125 forks revalved by race tech, as well as 03 triple clamps. The 03 lower triple clamp didn't work so I reused my 05 lower. 03 upper clamp worked good. Brakes and wheel mounted up fine.

I've got a pair of 2009 250f forks with brakes. Factory connection XC valving. Seals leaking. $200. Worlds better than the 03

that is a smokin' deal for SSS stuff.
