Losing coolant

Recommended Posts

I just had a top end done and have about 2 hours on it. I went to check the coolant and it is down to the top of the fins. The coolant was replaced when the top end was done. What could be causing this?

I would think the cooling system purged a little air out of it.Top it back off and run it thur a heat cycle again then check it again when it cools down.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it smokes a bit on start up too. I'm concerned that there is coolant getting into the cylinder. Would a cracked head cause this or water pump seal or something?

IF It's antifreeze burning, trust me, you'll smell it
