Yz 250 (285 max power rpm) crack issues?

My yz 250 seems to have bad crank issues. I'm not sure if it is normal or really bad. Their in no up or down movement of the connecting rod but their is about 1/16" or 1-32" side to side. I'm in the proses of rebuilding the top end and just noticed this possible problem. When i decided to rebuild the bike it wouldn't rev up. I turned it off and I just wouldn't start again. I found a few things in the carb. And the power valve slide with sticky. Just wondering in the could be related

Thanks

My manual states that the side to side clearance should be from 0.25mm to 0.75mm (0.01" to 0.03")

failure to rev could certainly be a sign of a failing rod bearing. look for broze colored shavings in your crank case.
