Local Bottom End Work?

Washington

I live near Cle Elum, but would travel to the westside for a good shop.

I need some bottom end work on a 2 stroke 250, who around here does solid work? Anyone used Xtreme in Preston or I90 in Issaquah?

Hoping its cheaper to get a few things done than buy all the special tools needed for the job.

Heck, anyone have a clutch holder, flywheel puller and case splitter they would loan out?? haha

I have friends who swear by Andrew. Send it to him and you will be very happy. http://www.cookseycrank.com/

That website refuses to load on my phone and computer! Haha

I have no first-hand experience but a few guys in Portland swear by Bozarth's here in Portland. Bit of a drive, but worth according to a few friends who use him.

Sure do. What brand of bike are you working on? My flywheel puller is for a Yamaha, but it worked on a CR85 and two Gas Gas 300's. My clutch holder is homemade but it works, and I haven't needed a case splitter yet, except for that danged CR85, and that was just to get the crank out of the RH case, everything else came right apart. I was able to borrow the splitter, you should be able to do the same on here.

I recommend spending the $20 on a flywheel puller. It's cheap insurance, and you can loan it to friends "just in case". I can send you pics of my clutch holder that you can build for ~$5.

Thanks for the replys! Bike is a 95 WR250z

I have a Yamaha, if I could borrow the flywheel puller, I think that is all I will really need. I know they are cheap, but my toy budget is extremely tight. I have a wedding coming up in may I am suppose to be saving for haha!

We are heading over to the D100 on Friday the 4th, is that too long to wait? Shipping the puller will cost as much to buy a new one-

And my clutch holder is about 2' long, so that is not conducive to shipping.

Let me know and I'll help you out any way I can. I will even pull off the parts for you if you want, just bring me the engine.

Not too long at all, I should actually be working on it around that time so that would be killer!

Clutch holder?

Impact wrench

That's the one tool I do have :)
