California Foresthill Trail 6 - fact or fiction?

Recommended Posts

I will be riding out my way - Elkins Saturday if anyone wants to tag along.

The high country is starting to open up - so I need to see what is ride-able right now.

I leave my place at 8:00 am generally - but am open and will meet people if they want.

Just shoot me a pm or something - I'll show you around.

I'm not fast - but it will be a good, long, technical loop.

+1, EldoCRF50 should join in FH tomorrow and then when too hot and dusty for that (real soon), better to join him in his high country shenanigans.

(chatted with Matt on LC last month while he was running a crew-I think he asked if we knew each other)

I was thinking about FH tomorrow, but then I would have to start the truck, drive, ......

The high country is calling - too much low country stuff - need to be in the rocks.

Maybe next time StoolInFH

Come ride with me, then I will go ride with you next Sunday.

You got some enduro making traffic and such over that way anyway.

Those enduro boys will never even see me.

I have some trimming I need to get done - I may have some help lined out.

I will get over that way this fall I think.

Sundays are out now - at least for a while.

I am stuck riding every Saturday.....poor me.

Ok so that trail rules! Thank you so much to StuInFh and Arider278j for the tour. Nothing like having a couple locals lead the way.

We staged at China Wall and hit trail 6 counterclockwise. First if all, the dirt was perfect red velvet cake. There are a few gnarly sections that made me happy to have the Motoz hybrid tire.

Those guys don't take many breathers so I only got a couple pics.

We did take a couple breaks so the loop took us about 2 hrs.

Back to the trucks for a minute. One guy has had enough and calls it a day.

Stu and ARider and me head out for a loop on trail 5.

Another awsome ride, that trail flows really well.

Back to the trucks and Arider has to call it a day so he can go do some chores.

So Stu and I head out to do 5 again the other direction.

I was leading for a while and feeling good. Hit one small step up and got out of shape. Ended up doing a full on whiskey throttle right into a tree. The bike bounced off and my left leg speared the tree.

Hey Stu thank you for helping me back to the trucks!!!

I think I'll finish this beer and head out for some x-rays.

Two deck screws, one 18 volt cordless Dewalt, a bottle of Fireball and a stick to bite down on. We can fix that!

A big bottle of NOPE!!!!

Heal up Erio! The high country is calling this summer.
