Gas Everywhere 2005 CRF250R

Hey ThumperTalkers,

I was riding after a rebuild and after coming off the track this weekend i noticed a lot of gas on the back of the engine and it was beginning to pool up above the transmission under my carb. I wasn't experiencing a loss of power or anything like that and it looked to be coming from the carb but I dont know where. I was told it could be one of my jets is ruined but that wouldn't make sense because it still runs good. Any advice would be greatly apprecaited.

It could be a stuck float and gas is just overflowing. Check to see where it is coming from.

Stuck float, worn float needle. Your overflow hose is supposed to drain excess gas to the underside of the bike so you must not have that hooked up.

thanks guys i will check those things. I dont know if i have a overflow hooked up to that or not but this is all a good direction.
