2006 rmz250

Hey guys I am trading my 2003 kx250 to this guy with a 2006 rmz250. I was wondering if you guys know any problems with this year bike or this bike in general. Thanks

I wouldn't make that trade, 8 year old 4 stroke mx bike, bound to have valve problems very soon

That ain't super clean. I would pass those bikes are not sought after at all.

There is a reason he wants to get rid of it, like I said I wouldn't do it. So many things that can go wrong in the motors of modern4 strokes. if your bike blows up its $120 to fix, if that rmz blows, $1500

Don't listen to all of these guys,  If you know how to do the work, it won't cost 1500 unless it throws a rod through the case, drops all 4 valves destroying the head, and the cylinder wall is scratched by the piston. I put a crank, piston, and shimmed my 07 Rm-z 250 for just under 400 dollars.  The 06 rmz 250 is notorious for overheating problems, and is generally seen as a terrible bike.  I still would not swap him, because it's kind of a sketchy deal in the first place.  Plus, I'm assuming you know what's in the engine in your bike.  You can't trust him on what he says. He's trying to make money.  However, 4 strokes are not as maintanence heavy like everyone is trying to say.

That year of rmz is not one you want, don't even consider a steel frame rmz they are full of problems. They paired up with Kawi and made a substandard bike.

ya, 2007 RMZ250 with aluminum frame and revised motor got good. The 04-05 KX250F and 04-06 RMZ250 are essentially same bike. Problem city on these models.

I keep on hearing this and i don't know why. The 06 rmz engine is not unreliable like the 04 and 05 years. It is the same engine that is in the 06 kxf, minus a few power upgrades that Kawasaki did. Kawasaki gave Suzuki the reliability upgrades.
