Fatty or Gnarly - 300 xcw

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, I have a 300 xcw with the SX head and ignition. I plan to run single track all the way up to dual sporting (yes, I have it registered with lighting kit). So given the planned duties for this bike, should I go with an FMF fatty or gnarly pipe? I could take off the SX head and ignition as well if that makes sense but I was thinking it would help with the higher speed dual sport riding. Also, with that combo I was thinking the fatty might be best. Otherwise, in stock form the gnarly might be better. Not sure at all, looking for advice.

I can't tell the fatty from the stock pipe.  The gnarly will be different.  Only you can decide if you like it...

I havre a fatty on my xc and a gnarly on my xcw.  Both bikes have a milled head.  For me I don't much notice a huge difference between the 2.  I guess the fatty pulls a little further but I honestly don't spend much time revving to the moon....that's when it starts to vibrate more
