Flasher Relay for Led signal lights?

Recommended Posts

DMP LED Flasher Relay (900-5515)

Will this fit my Drz to correct the signal lights not flashing?

If by fit you mean plug in to the OEM location..

NO. I do not think so... the part is a universal wide rang of model fitment.

I did send a note to the manufactures web site to get there take.. we will see what they say.

The DRZ uses a multi function flasher/ relay combo .. there is an ebay source that claims direct fitment for the OEM part.. But all the LED electronk flashers i've installed so far have required wiring in.

If by fit you mean will it work and correct the fast flash of LED's yes.

Thanks for the replies,

Soldering a resister in the stock relay looks slightly more complex. The russian print makes it hard to understand ;)

Rhinoracer I contacted my local Suzuki dealer to see if they can get me a relay like that one, i'm just waiting on their call back thanks!

You can fix OEM relay assy to use with the led turns

Very simply solution:

Yes. that works, but it adds a mess of wiring, 8 additional failure points, the need to stuff/mount two  resistors that get HOT enough in use to melt electrical tape and zip ties.

IMHO a better solution is an electronic flasher.

You do not understand
The method does not require resistors connected in parallel signal lamps
This method is deceiving way to accept as a normal current undervalued

No resistors needed

Ahh, thank you for that.. it prompted me to look closer..

The wiring diagram does show the adding of a resistor.. so i stopped looking at the russian wiring diagram right there..thinking is was the same old deal.

BUT looking at the pictures (since I dont read russian)  and I see what those folks are doing is modifying the OEM flasher so that it works with the reduced resistance load of LED lights.

Thats a fun option for the tinkerer ..... interested in cracking open the sealed plastic relay, modifying it and figuring a way to reseal it.

Thanks for yet another option

LED flash relay is not water resistant

Is that the Ebay replacement unit?

LuckyBike is the e-bay direct oem style no-load combo relay that I have used for led flashers.Looks the same as the stock relay. They are a direct fit to the factory pin outs.simple plug and play.I've had mine for 5 years without issues.
