changing throttle cable guides

Recommended Posts

I bought this:

Mikuni - TM33-8012 - Flat Slide TM Series 4-Stroke Carburetor, 33mm - http://www.ebay.com/itm/161262727908?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

for my 2001 DRZ250 and it is making it run smoother but I am having an issue with figuring out how to change the cable guides and the bellcrank...

Anyone have any ideas?

I do recall telling you this last time to use the cable guide and throttle cam off the original carb.

Doing it that way, no hassles its all bolts up and away you go!

What exactly are you having troubles with?

Thanks for the follow up. It was taking the throttle cam off the original and the replacement. I was looking at it as though I needed to take out the c-pin on the outside but then I discovered I could take the whole unit off by unscrewing a bolt on the inside of the carb. Bike is running like a champ now. Amazing the difference for my bike.

Really boiled down to me looking at going the hard way and not the easy way. Got it sorted now though.

Thanks!
