Ter 125 carb leak

Recommended Posts

TER 125 is draining gas out of the bowl overflow vent tube! ! My guess is the float is off, but we pulled it apart and seems to work? Thoughts?

Float valve not shutting flow off due to dirt or gummy stale fuel contamination.

Clean the float needle and the seat it sits in.

We did this, sprayed carb cleaner into the seat and cleaned the plunger/needle. Can we adjust the metal tab that the plunger hangs from to cause the plunger into the seat sooner?

I'd measure float height according to specs first and adjust if it were not correct for some strange reason, not just bend it in an attempt to make it stop overflowing.

I'd try the float valve, again, myself, or replace it.

Maybe the seat is corroded and/or still grubby.

One of are ttrs did that and we figured out that it was the float height we adjusted it and it stopped leaking. :ride:

Ours fixed by making sure the plunger seated properly, a bit finicky but got it squared away.
