rear wheel bearings

i called a bike shop because its time for new rear bearings, and they told me i had 3. two the left and one on the right. that doesnt make sense and i dont have my manual at work can someone shed some light on this. i have a 89 cr125r. im pretty sure theres two lol ive never heard of 3 on the rear.

That year shows two wheel bearings. A 6204 on the sprocket side and 6004 on the brake side.

You can buy OEM for about $25-$30 or go to a bearing website and buy them both for about $10. I just did this on my 1988 CR250.

yeah he said that and i was like uhhhh weird! i looked at motosports diagram and only saw two as well.  i bought some all balls bearings for $12.

Just so you know there ARE bikes that have 3 bearings in the rear-my 2001 CR250 has 2 on the sprocket side, and 1 on the brake rotor side.

my old 06 and new to me 02 cr125 also have 3 bearings in the rear wheel
