Clutch question

Recommended Posts

If I try and start my 2007 300 xc-w in gear the clutch doesn't seem to completely engage or disengage? Is there an adjustment on the hydraulic clutches?

Bleed your clutch master cylinder first....if that does not help remove the small clutch cover and take your clutch apart and inspect it for wear and inspect the clutch basket for grooves in the fingers.

It is common that a cold bike will not start in gear and some oils will make that even worse depending on the thickness.  A hot bike should have no issues starting in gear if the clutch is working properly.

Probably grooves worn into basket where plates rub against it. Problem can be fixed with a good flat file and a little work. Its a common problem .
