Dual sport kenda 270s?

Recommended Posts

Was looking around and stumbled across the kenda 270 duel sport tires and noticed they are like $50.00 s a piece cheaper that the dunlop606 or a pair of pirellis. Anyone run these? , gearing up my drz400s for primarily off road, rocky trails, mud. The tread looks good, do they wear that much faster?

They are a decent tire. The knobs are tall, so the tire feels squirmy til you get some wear on them. Be carefull on wet pavement with them til you see how they handle, especially on older chip seal roads.

Eh….. not the best tire for your stated purpose.  Better to use the Dunlop or Pirelli.

The 270 is a good general purpose all-around dual sport tire best for gravel roads, groomed trails, with short stints on paved roads.  Mud with this tire?  No way.  On pavement the rear will wear quickly.

I run one on the front and the OEM TW-42 on the rear.  But seldom do I get on trails or knarly stuff with the DRZ.
