Replacing slave cylinder in a 98 Chevy

Recommended Posts

I am planning on replacing my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder due to my clutch going soft and having to add fluid every other day. I have spend hours searching the internet and reading my repair manual trying to locate my slave cylinder. I am assuming it is in the transmission. My question is if this is correct and if I need to drop the entire transmission to fix it or if I can just take part of it off. My pickup is a 1998 Chevy Cheyenne. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
