Softer R Suspension clicking

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all. Is it correct to turn the clicker counter-clockwise to make the R softer for all-day-long dualsport?

I just bought a '01 R. I changed the fork oil to 5W Pro Honda. I lubed/replaced the linkage & swingarm bearings. Previsou owner said the suspension is Honda stock. The suspension at stock clicker settings feels very stiff; I beat me up pretty bad.

So, I turned every clicker CC 3 turns, and that made it a little softer. Should I continue to turn all the clicker CC until I get the desired softness?

I don't race or anything. Just want to blast down dirt road, and do occasionally easy single-track out in the National Forest. Maybe do the LAB2V thing in the desert. So I don't need suspension that can land a triple MX jump.

I'm 150 pounds naked.

Mine has arrow on it for direction. Or you can count total clicks & split in 1/2, then readjust accordingly.
