XR 400 rear tire

I'd like to change out my rear tire, stock, right now and time for it to go bye bye.

I want to on a lot meatier and aggressive. Suggestions?

Factory size - 110/100 - 18". Dunlop D 752.

I'd want to change out a 14 year old stock tire too.

I've run the Michelin M12 for my rear for as long as I can remember. Great tire on the XR, but you won't get 14 years out of it.

You are better off finding what works best in your area in the riding areas forum.

If you ride lots of rocks and would rathe hook up and not spin the rear wheel, a real trials tire will work great. Dunlop 803 or Pirelli MT43.

The Kenda 760 Trackmaster 2 is a great tire.

Yes, do a search for lots of info.

 

I recommend a trials (Pirelli or Michellin) rear if you like better control on big rocks and just great handling in general. Lots of riders will agree! Or, a knobby that I like is a Maxxis Desert IT. Decent wear, just not DOT but a really nice tire, especially if ya can find one on sale.
