im thinking its 2001 ish but I was sold it as an 05

05 seat, looks like 01-02 plastics.

03-08 are more florescent yellow 01-02 are darker.

If I road it i could tell you what year it was!

Edit, also, white number plates are from 03+

Edit 2, that swinger is deff an 01

Edit 3, Deff an 01-03 front brake setup. Honda's patent ran out in 2004 and 04-08 RMs ran the line behind the fork.

My guess is a 01 with mixed ebay parts from other years.

thanks, I suspected it was an 01 after doing a bit of digging. kind of gutted its not a monster 05 motor but never mind, its a clean one and at least I can order my parts to get the powervalve working

If you can read the VIN, the 10th digit is always the year. That's valid on bikes up to and including 2009 only. This should save a lot of guessing.

That means nothing. 01-08 can interchange some, 03-08 are all interchangeable parts with the exception of power valve components. He could have an 01 chassis, with an 04 motor and 02 plastics

I struggle to read the vin owing to a recent powder coat but im sure its a 2001.
