In all honesty I doubt he's gonna be racing, but technically he could automatically be seeded into the field because he's a past champion

MC is still sponsored by many brands. he is paid to represent them. Plus he probably just enjoys riding, he's been retired for years and when he doesn't have a truck race or something to keep him busy he probably goes out and spins some laps for fun and to keep his sponsors happy.

Granted, but that's something you could show up in your truck and do.  He had 3 Honda Mechanics around him.  After each moto they would put the bike back in the Honda Extra Large box van, close the doors, tweak some stuff, then he'd come out for another moto.  Just seemed like it was a tad more than just going out for the fun of it
