Looking for road register able 4stroke 250, what would you recommend?

Tell me about them?

And have you heard anything on the 2014 Wr250f?

Cheers

Kawasaki went to 300. But I think he wants an enduro cause he said wr.

If that is the case stay away from the Xt. I got my son one when he turned 14 there week. Like riding a 125. But the wr is good. So is honda crf250l and the Kawi.

Are you looking for a dirt oriented street legal?

If so, KTM EXC-F 350, Yamaha WR250R, Honda CR250L, (forget the Kawi).

I like all the above in that order.

I'm told you can get a tag for the KTM XCF250W but can't swear by that. The XCF would be significantly more dirt oriented than the EXC.

There's also Husaberg, Beta and Gasgas but  I don't know much about those manufacturers. There's also Chinese knockoffs but for the love of god - stay away from them.

I think ronbuell was joking.

There ain't no 2014 model WR-250F here in the USA, but if there is one in Australia, I'm willing to bet it's still the same as they have been since the 2007 models.

I owned a street registered 2009 model and still own a street plated 2002 model.

In my opinion, it's a crummy street bike if you want to do serious street mileage often, mainly because it's got a 5-speed tranny and short overall gearing that's too low for the street because it's intended for off-road use.

If you want to use it as a dirt bike to ride short hops on the street, it's fine.

Yep, nope.

If you want to ride street, get a street bike.

If you want to ride dirt, get a dirt bike.

Been there, done that, and There Is No Such Thing As Dual Purpose.

A compromise is just that, does nothing well.

Save your pennies, and get one of each. You'll be frustraction free and money ahead.
