Thoughts on this 09

Recommended Posts

Currently considering downgrading from my 12 KX450 to something a bit cheaper due to unfortunate reasons.

Found this bike for sale, very tidy visually, owner seems genuine, and has receipts for all major work done to.   My main question is, how do the bikes in general hold up with 100+ hours on them?  I know they are not going to feel like a brand new bike.   Having previously owned a few Suzukis, theres no way I would consider a Suzuki with this many hours, but I also hear lots of people go on about Hondas durability and reliability so be interested in hearing from some Honda owners experience.

The bike details:

-137 hours since new

-Full rebuild at 100hours and a new hour meter was put on after the rebuild

-Oil and filter changed every 4-5 hours, always used fully synthetic oil

-Air filter changed every 2nd ride

-Had new intake and exhaust valves(stainless steel) new valve springs, valves reseated and cut out, re-shimmed, and new gasket 10 hours ago

-New Spark plug

-New fork seals 10 hours ago

-Renthal bars

-Two new radiators and new hoses

-New clutch cable

-good tyres

-Unbreakable front break

Thoughts?   Would you buy this bike with confidence, or be a bit wary?

sounds like a good deal to me.

Crank should last another 100 hours if it was taken care of as well as it appears.
