RB designs or Eric Gorr for 02 CR250

Recommended Posts

I am trying to decide whether I want just send my head to RB Desings for the head mods or if I want to have my cylinder and head done by Eric Gorr (base lowered and squish set).

I will be mostly doing woods and hare scramble type riding. I will do occasional mx. I prefer to run 93 octane fuel.

So the price will be about the same either way I go.

So what do you all recommend?

RB will also machine the cylinder base for you as well as the head mod if you choose.

He will not do any porting, however.

I've always used Eric Gorr and liked his work.  Having said that, RB does really nice work too considering the pictures of his work that have been posted here.  You probably wouldn't go wrong with either one IMO.

I always use RB Designs, he's done a lot of custom work for me including cranks, resleeving, even making parts and getting a hydraulic clutch cable fabricated for my bike.  He is only 10 minutes from my house.

So I am thinking about going the RB Designs head mod route and have the squish set for when using an 05+ base gasket.

Anyone else with this same setup?
