2014 ktm 500 exc milage?

Thinking of doing the big bear ride on my 500, what kind of milage are you guys getting? Should I look into getting a new tank? Friend of mine did the ride last year on a 2013 500, stock tank, with Tps mod and canister removed, and he ran out of gas twice! Any advice? Thanks

I can do 100miles outta a stock tank. I went to a 3.1g Acerbis and can do about 140miles. Lots depends on gearing and how far you twist...

All I've done to my bike is ca crap removed. Still stock basically. Going to 14-48 gear tonight

I get about 100 miles out of a stock tank with 14/50 gearing and mix of on/off road.

85 mile + - 5 miles with that gearing. 14/48.

110 miles here on my xcw until the fuel light poped up.

Clockwork KTM in the states do a 3.1 gallon tank for the EFI KTM. I have one for the 530-EXC & have found them good quality & well priced at US$250.00.

Low fuel light went on at 85 miles last weekend. Put in 1.9 gallons. 100 miles to empty is my guess. 14/45 gearing. With Rekluse clutch, I don't need anything lower. I have Euro map and PBM end cap. I would like a 3.1 gallon tank. With a dual sport, it's so easy to just ride to a gas station, stop for lunch at a restaurant or bar, instead of always circling back to the truck. The highways suck up gas quick.
