2008 yz250f exhaust fit a 2008 wrf head pipe

I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck out of my buddies 2008 WR250F and was wondering if a stock YZF exhaust will fit onto the head pipe of the WRF?

Yes a YZ muffler will fit the WR. You need to take the gasket out of the stock WR muffler and use it in the new one though. The header pipe on the YZ is slightly larger than WR.

I have an 09 YZ muffler on my 09 WR250F. It works great.

No problem. I got that muffler off eBay for $82 shipped and it was in great shape. With the other mods to uncork the WR it really came alive power wise.

It's a pain in the butt to get the gasket out of the stock pipe tho. I kinda tore mine up a bit but was able to reuse it. A replacement is about $15 at your local dealer.

I might buy a YZ header one of these days as it should give a bit more.
