2007 Ltr 450 Problems (backfiring)(bogging)

Ok, so yesterday i picked up a 2007 ltr 450 for pretty cheap, looks like the quad was raced and the guy said it has a crank put in it. Well it idles somewhat fine but when you push the throttle all the way in, it like bogs and backfires a lot shooting flames out the exhaust. i let it warm up properly and then take it down the street and when you try and get in it, it just bogs, backfires, and has 0 power. just wondering if anyone has any ideas. thanks

Sounds like you are dumping fuel.  Could be the main jet is too large.  Does the bike have an aftermarket pipe and air filter?  Any airbox modifications?

I would pull the carb give it a good cleaning and see what size jets are in there.  Not sure what the stock sizes should be, but a quick google will give you the answer.  If the bike has a pipe and air filter / air box mods you will need a larger main jet than stock.  Also have you tried a new plug?
