Yz250 motor on yz 85 frame

Hey guys im wondering if i can fit a yz 250 motor into my spare yz 85 frame that i have i know ill have to adjust the motor mounts but ive been thinkin of putting either a 125 or 250 into it

You can put any motor into any bike with enough effort. There are motorcycles with small block V8s in them. Easy? Nope.

I remember a guy back in school who's dream it was to put a 454 in a Chevette Scooter... Who the heck am I to knock someone's dreams?

I think a 125 will be the easiest but ill have to try both and see what i have to do because i need a good trail bike i got a 450 and think im gonna do the 125 no matter what it takes

Yeah I know where they scattered his ashes......

 

Why it will handle like Poop in the bush, worse on a MX track, just saying cause I've done all the dumb things like that, and yep, they run, they flex, they turn straights into corners, and they refuse to recognise corners or brakes....

Iv'e actually had two bikes like that next to each other and measured just for that reason. I know of some women riders that are very good riders but need a very short bike.

 

I concluded that any 125 or 250 motor would take up so much room and the frame would need to be about 4" taller and longer in the motor area in order to fit motor AND pipe..So....yes and no..

If it doesn't fit - force it - if it breaks..then it needed to be replaced anyway.
