CRF230F Front sprocket removal? Help please

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm trying to change the front sprocket on my 2005 CRF230F. I took off the little sprocket plate with 2 screws and am unsure If I need to remove a big bolt next? I don't see one, so I just tried to pull it off but didn't work. Most bikes have a bolt over the grooved countershaft ,but it looks like the sprocket is over the grooves and nothing stopping it from coming off... The countershaft is in between 18mm and 19mm, and can't find a size to fit it, if I am suppose to remove it somehow but like I said I see no bolt to remove. Looked all over and haven't found any information..

Thank you for your help,

-Victor

Photos ?

Should be (2) 6mm bolts with 10mm hex heads to remove then twist lock plate on splines and remove.

Sprocket should slide right off????

Correct. Just did this 2 days ago. Sprocket could be seized on there. Rusted up badly? Try some release-all
