Drz rebuild without counterbalancer

Just got putting mine back together and I left the counterbalancer out. I was a little nervous at first but it worked out great. I would definately recommend removing it. Way better throttle response, revs faster and doesn't vibrate much more than after installing bb and stroker crank.

good stuff!

Here's some interwsting info about counterbalancer removal in a DRZ: http://www.drzforums.com/showthread.php?3145-Lets-Finish-This-quot-NO-quot-Trailer-Queens&p=40485#post40485

and here's some crank balancing being done on a Husaberg 650 engine after cb removal: http://husaberg.org/mechanical/17329-balancing-80mm-650-crank.html

within the realm of mortals it is ...

Do you know what balance factor you ended up with? the "default" factor you ended at seems to be good given lack of vibes!

Glad it worked out well, I've been wanting to try it for a while.

Isnt the oil pump driven by the counterbalancer ?
