Carby air leak

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I have just replaced the carby on my 07 ktm 450exc and when I tried to tune it I noticed that it was running lean and had a hanging idle. I used carby cleaner to pin point the air leaks around the manifold boot and I just couldn't get the boot to seal. I have since used high temp silastic to seal the outer portion of the boot but im not sure its a great idea to have silastic near the manifold. It is running a little better now but any thoughts/suggestions or solutions would be awesome.
