Tickeing Noise from top end, 99% sure its ACCT, still safe to ride?

HI Guys-

So i have been doing research all over the place for the last couple days to figure out what my issue is and i am 99 percent sure I have the ACCT ticking noise (rocks in a can) rattle that everyone has been mentioning. I already ordered the MCCT but I was just wondering if riding it the 15 miles to my dads place would cause any permanent damage. He has all of the tools so I need to get it there to do the work on it.

might as well, im pretty sure the bike has to be warmed up anyhow..you should be fine

it's a lot easier to install the MCCT with the engine cold, since the exhaust pipe is right there. 

 

make sure you see the FAQ sectoin about proper adjustment so you don't stretch (wear) the chain even more than it already is. ?

It depends on how loose the chain is , if it's very loose ..the initial start up can do damage .

6500 on the motor, so I cant imagine its all that loose, just enough to make me paranoid.

Well I just ordered my mcct also I I think I've put 500 plus miles on it since I started hearing the noise (was light now it's a little more noticeable) Idk if it hurt it but it still runs perfectly fine! But I only have 3000 miles total on my bike
