Big deal?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I have a beautiful rm 125 she's my girl but she's leaking a little oil out of the sprocket. What could it be? The seal behind the sprocket? Is it easy to fix? Thanks (:

Yes it's a very easy job just order the seal of ebay or get it in your local parts shop and get a manual for your bike

Easy like butter if you use a seal puller and do it right. Here are some examples:

You could it this way which works, but I'm not recommending it:

Or you can do it this way which I do recommend using the correct tool:

I fixed mine on my YZ250 in about 5 minutes. I just popped the sprocket off. I had a small pick and I grabbed the seal that way. Wiped the inside down and made sure to get rid of all grime and left over oil. Popped the new one in and off I went. Its a simple fix.

A lot of the time when they leak, a good clean will stop the leak. More often than not the seal has crap in it but in not worn out.

Just use a cotton stick to clean in the lip of the seal and re-pack with grease. Works for me every time I get a leak.
