79 suzuki rm 400

Recommended Posts

Hello bikers, I have a rm 400 and when I pull the clutch in it won't release back. I have to use pliers to get it back. And I'm talking about the lever on the tranny. What could be the problem? Any help would be great. Thanks

The clutch basket probably has massive grooves worn in it.

Suzuki has made their clutch baskets out of dog shit for decades.

If the bikes been sitting, could be a good run will loosen it right up. While RM clutch baskets are soft, an open class bike doesn't require near the amount of abuse. You may open it up and see nothing wrong.
