Are my bars really bent or....

Recommended Posts

Did a search to no avail, unless I missed something which is entirely possible and in fact likely. So yeah, Renthal fat bars. I can tell that aren't straight in relation to the triple etc. So I loosened the 15m nuts on the bolts that hold the bar clamps to the triple. I can re-align the bars perfectly fine. But when I go to tighten the nuts back up, the bars go right back out of alignment again. My point is, is it possible the bolts themselves are bent and not the bars themselves?Thx in advance.

In my case the bolts were bent, Suzuki uses butter bolts.

I went with rubber killers and protaper thicker bolts and clamps.

Hey thanks for the response. Think thats my case as well. You gotta link for replacement bolts?

Probably the rubber riser bushings. Rip em out and put metal ones in

Thanks, little more info here. You talking about the rubber bushings underneath the top triple? If so, where do I order? Thx....

Have since installed the rubber killers. Turns out the right handlebar bolt was bent. Replaced them and added the killers  - all is straight.....
