The gas tax is just one of the problems. The cap and trade scam is going to really hurt everyone if he can get it in motion... expect your power bills to be jacked up and local product prices to go up as well.. ie food. It could push out the last of the big industrial like Boeing, as well as my work place (we use more electricity than anyone in the state). This traitor is the scum of the earth and I hope he starts the CO2 cutting by ceasing to breathe. I sent messages to all of my reps and it looks like there is nothing they can do until they convene the beginning of next year, as he pushed an executive order. Thanks to all the morons who voted for him out there, I hope they all lose their jobs and foreclose on their houses because they can't afford the extra taxes they are helping to raise.

I watched the gubernatorial debates between Inslee and McKenna and couldn't believe there was any way Inslee could win if anyone watched them.  Usually in debates there are two ridiculous politicians with doublespeak that I spend most of my time trying to figure out which one is lying less.  I haven't seen someone get so pasted in a debate since......well, ever.  McKenna kept hammering Inslee on his non-answers and general lack of competence, which seemed to come across pretty well.  Alas, Inslee had the "D" next to his name, and that's about all it takes in this state.

Well King County just defeated a tax for Metro so I suspect the voters would also defeat that big a gas tax increase.  If that size of an increase were attempted without voter approval there would be a voter revote against that party.

Just remember the many Income Tax defeats and the success of Tim Eiman tax reduction inititives.

not sure but if Inslee writes in a carbon tax or cap and trade tax under executive order there's little us serfs can do but to pay the King's tax. Under Exec Order it doesn't go to public vote. If he is not re-elected (due to voter outrage) the new found cash won't be turned away by the next administration. Once they get the money they will SPEND it.

The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide -- a UN manual for global transformation (which I brought home from the 1996 UN Conference on Human Settlements in Istanbul) was prepared by The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). Community leaders around the world are now called to implement a new "Communitarian" system of governance which overrides our constitutional rights and freedoms

Agenda 21, the UN blueprint for global transformation, sounds good to many well meaning people. Drafted for the purpose of creating "sustainable societies", it has been welcomed by nations around the world. Political, cultural, and media leaders have embraced its alluring visions of social justice and a healthy planet. They hide the lies behind its doomsday scenarios and fraudulent science. Relatively few consider the contrary facts and colossal costs.agenda21.jpg

After all, what could be wrong with preserving resources for the next generation? Why not limit consumption and reduce energy use? Why not abolish poverty and establish a global welfare system to train parents, monitor intolerance, and meet all our needs? Why not save the planet by trading cars for bikes, an open market for "self-sustaining communities," and single dwellings for dense "human settlements" (located on transit lines) where everyone would dialogue, share common ground, and be equal?

The answer is simple. Marxist economics has never worked. Socialism produces poverty, not prosperity. Collectivism creates oppression, not freedom. Trusting environmental "scientists" who depend on government funding and must produce politically useful "information" will lead to economic and social disaster. 3

The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these
dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through
changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.
The real enemy then, is humanity itself."
