What year stock exhausts fit 09/10 DRZ400 SM?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,
Does anybody know if a 2006 DRZ exhaust will fit a 2009/2010 DRZ 400SM?

Basically I need to locate a stock exhaust so I can get a RWC and sell it.
(currently have a Yoshimura exhaust and muffler installed - too loud!)

or does anybody have a stock exhaust/muffler system for my 2009/2010 Suzuki DRZ 400SM I can borrow or buy to get this darn RWC!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I'd have been happy to let you use mine but I'm in Sydney. Someone will have one you can use - give it a while.

depends on how tweaked your subframe is, and how tweaked the exhaust you're installing is. maybe drill a hole, maybe just hit it with a hammer. not that big a deal really.

Its a 2006 exhaust from a DRZ E! So yeah looks like it won't easily fit my 2010 DRZ SM!

Just need an exhaust that I can easily install with minimum fuss -as I am a rookie bike mechanic!

I assume all year model DRZSM exhausts are the exact same and will fit my 2010 DRZSM?

What yoshi exhaust do you have?  Have you tried the quiet insert?  It can make quite a difference.

Im pretty sure its a Yoshi RS 2 - it was already installed on the 2010 DRZ400 SM when I purchased it.

Do you have a link to the quiet insert? There seems to already be a baffle in the exhaust, but its still loud!

Hi,  I have a 2001 E with a SM or S subframe (it's a motard)  and passenger pegs. Was wondering about the exhaust situation and if that meant I'd need an S or SM exhaust. Do you know what has to be done to fit an E exhaust with other subframe?

Keep in mind, even with the quiet insert it's still going to be noticeably louder than stock (but not so bad)

and it will cut power with the insert in.
