"throttle" problems on 2005 yz250f

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a 2005 yz250f the bike is in good shape the only problem that I'm having is after the bike has warmed up if you try and "snap" the throttle back the bike wants to stall but if you ease in to it, it will rev up no problem .. haven't having a problem riding it either although it has stalled a few times just sitting there running/letting it warm up, I thought it was bad gas when I bought it so I drained the fuel out of the tank and put in 91 octane  with some carb cleaner, also cleaned the air filter as well.. any help on this would be great, I was thinking air/fuel ratio maybe ? or jetting problem?

thanks

Did the bike sit up?  IF so, clean out the carb, clean the jets, especially the pilot.  Some of the guys on here will tell you to replace the pilot jet, and I agree that is one way to deal with it.

Also, problem taking throttle can be the accelerator pump, could be clogged up jet, passages, hole in the diaphram.

Do a search on "bog" it'll show up.  Everybody's had it.
