California Where to ride sunday after glen helen

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me a good track to go to the sunday after glen helen. My girlfriend and i are driving out from phoenix and would like to spin some laps but our usual place (pala) is no longer around. I liked pala because she could ride the amateur or vet track and not have to worry about getting blown off the track so i would like to go somewhere that has a decent amateur track but if not she will be ok on the main track seeing that she rides them here and in Colorado. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Tyler

Milestone MX is pretty nice and not too far from Glen Helen. The main track is well shaped with big jumps and the vet track is pretty legit too but not very intimidating. It can get busy on the weekends, but it's definitely worth checking out if you like riding hardpack. I would say Cahuilla creek and the Ranch (both in Anza) are better than Milestone because they have bigger tracks and better dirt. The Ranch is a soft track so if you like sand you'll love their main track. Anza is pretty far from Glen Helen but it would be sort of on your way home to phoenix.

I can hang but was more her I was worried about this will be her first time riding in cali and I know some of the tracks out there can be intimidating. Were from colorado and have rode thunder valley for ever so she has riden national level tracks. Just would like to be somewhere that has a good amature track for her if she isnt feeling the main track.

Thanks for the responses I was considering comp edge I have never personally rode the tracks but I was there with some buddys last year before hangtown and I couldnt remeber if they had other tracks besides the main one.

Cahuilla Creek is a greatcteack. The vet track is pretty mellow with great dirt. Milestone ' s vet track is pretty good as well. They are re - doing the beginner track (not sure if it is open yet) and it looks like fun as well. The only problem is Milestone can get packed on the weekends and this weekend is a holiday weekend.
