Who is addicted to TT ?

Recommended Posts

How many of us as soon as we get the chance,  will turn on their computer or phone and go straight to TT to see what you've missed? Guilty

I spend too much time here, but I have it. Just trying to adjust it back from Town Square to Dirt Bikes, which is why I'm really here.

During the week I am.

I'll still check it on the weekend too. But not as often.

There's more expensive things to be addicted to.....

Anyone who looks at this thread is addicted.  Here's an example of a support group meeting that eerily parallels Fight Club:

me, in a sheepish, embarrassed tone

"Hello, my name is LovingOffroadPain."

everyone in unison

"Hello, LovingOffroadPain."

leader

"We here don't judge.. and we see you are pretty tuned up.."

me

"Yes. I was.. well.." I close my eyes, anticipating the gravity of my disclosure. ".. in a dirty, dirty dirt bike race."

everyone in unison

"We ride dirt bikes. Dirt bikers stay together."

leader

"We are here for you. Please tell us what happened."

me

silence

everyone in unison

"We ride dirt bikes. Dirt bikers stay together."

leader

"We do not judge here. Anything you tell us will never leave this room. The first step toward healing is admitting we have a problem.."

me

"I, I.. I have an addiction!!!"

everyone in unison

"We do not judge here. Dirt bikers stay together."

leader

"You have heard from our people. We must never break this bond of affection."

me

nodding my head, I repeat: "We must never break this bond of affection."

leader

"Please tell us about your addiction."

me

"I, I.. I just can't stop."

leader

"What can't you stop?"

me

releasing my reluctance, I cry out: "RIDING!!!!!"

everyone in unison

"We ride dirt bikes. Dirt bikers stay together."

me

in a tone of desperation: "I blew a corner in a race and.. and.. ran into the cactus tree. My wife says my behavior is self-destructive, and cactus hurts like the dickens!!"

everyone in unison

"Our behavior is self-destructive. Cactus hurts like the dickens."

leader

"You have admitted a great thing to us. Now the healing will begin."

me

"But I've been riding dirty dirt bikes all my life. How do I stop?"

leader

"You are not alone.. the answer is to avoid."

everyone in unison

"We ride dirt bikes. The answer is to avoid."

me

"But what must I avoid?"

leader

"The CACTI."

everyone

"We ride dirt bikes. We must avoid the cacti."

leader

"Now it's time for the one-on-ones. Tell someone close to your about your cactus experiences."

I'm addicted to motorcycles TT is just a symptom.

^^^^^^ yup.

Good group here though. Some knuckleheads for sure, but I've solved lots of mechanical and some technique problems with the help of the TT community, as well as met some good folks to ride with.
