DRZ400 SM K7 Carb heater - Spare wires after installation.

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, I wonder if I can pick your brains for a minute or three.

I Installed a carb heater kit to my K7 DRZ400 SM over the week-end (I know, I know - But no time like the present)!

Pick up from fan choc (Fan plug plugged back into heater assy loom).

Heating element (and spade terminal) screwed into carb bowl/intake (Fiddly bit).

Thermo switch routed to airbox snorkel area.

PROBLEM - I appear to have two 'spare' wires (commoned into one wire Black/white stripe/Dull green bands) - One with a female 'bullet' connector which is insulated (Clear plastic tube)

and one 'naked' male bullet connector that emerge from the heater assy loom in the carb area neither of which, appear to have an obvious point of connection to the existing loom/bonding point/hardware.

Any advice on how these wires should be terminated would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.
