Lumpy Idle When Starting

Recommended Posts

Ive recently installed jd jet kit, extended fuel screw, full fmf exhaust and did the 3x3. My bike will not start when cold unless I have the choke on. It didnt do this before. Does anyone else have this problem? And when I say cold i mean like overnight not 30 degrees.

Using the choke is normal.  If your bike starts in 30 degree temps, bone cold, without the choke - your pilot circuit is too rich.

Yeah, that is completely normal.

Starting without choke when cold means the pilot circuit was overly rich.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure i didnt mess anything up because when it was stock it started up when i barely touched the button with no choke wether the motor was cold or warm. Thanks for the reassurance.
