Extended FLOAT BOWL Screws

So I did a quick search in this forum and found nothing, searched Google and only found Harley stuff. Has anyone ever seen extended FLOAT BOWL screws that will fit our bikes? I'm getting pretty tired of dropping stuff into the motor, scraping my knuckles, etc, etc.

I replaced the junk stock screws on the Mikuni with stainless steel socket head versions and use a ball-end hex key to loosen and tighten. Extended versions can be made using a longer screw with a DIY spacer.

I'd like to put a short tube on that drain, anyone know the diameter?

I keep a 1/4" id clear tube about 12" long in my tool box for draining the float bowl. I don't think anything would ever stay on there permanently. The nipple is too short and seems to be tapered.

 

The DIY extended screw might just work, although, I think it would be easier if it was a hex stand-off type setup like I have linked above. Then one could just loosen and tighten with a 6mm wrench or so.

Thank you both. I tend to go weeks between rides and I like to drain it if it's going to be sitting that long.
