tappet and lobe very worn

2005 crf250r. i seized up the bottom end on my bike. and when i took off the camshaft, i noticed that one of the intake tappets was cupped inward, and the same side lobe was very worn out. could that be irrelevant to seizing it up? could it just be bad shim sizing? i mean all of the valves were redone on it not long ago and ive only put about a few hours of riding on them.... could it be when it seized up, the kickstarter was frozen and wouldnt move. i kicked the shit out of it and it broke loose, then froze again? i am quite curious as to what caused this

Drain out the oil, how much came out, what does it look like. Low or old (bad) oil could cause both those things
