Keihin carburetor leads out the float bowl

This is a Keihin problem, not a bike specific issue.  My two smoker's carb leaks out of the float bowl, even though I've inspected the gasket many times, and I tighten it down precisely (snug up all bolts, then tighten in a quad-star pattern).

 

My next step will be replacing the gasket, but has anyone else had issues like this??  Any suggestions??

Hey LovinOffroadPain, I don't believe I've had that issue.

 

I'd change the rubber gasket and measure for flatness.

I've never heard this but I don't doubt it.  Obama's beloved EPA just reported at length about how bad ethanol is for motors all around, especially high performance engines.

 

My buddy showed me a place, ONE place around Dallas that's near the OK border 30 miles away, that sells ethanol free fuel.  Every time I ride I'll fill up all my jugs and truck.
