BritishColumbia Kamloops Blowdown - WTFF?

Recommended Posts

Rode in the Chuwels area today from the Melba FSR.  We rode Old Nasty north and south and there's a ridiculous amount of blowdown in the area.  We moved over to Chuwels regular and same thing, blowdown everywhere.  The only trail that looked like it might have been cleared recently was Ball Buster.  What's the story?  Is this a recent storm that caused the havoc?

What are Inks and Duffy like?  We were planning to spend a few more days in the area but if it's all a mess we'll move on.

It is unfortunate that trees fall down (especially in pine bettle areas) & it is only the few that choose to do the work to clear & maintain the trails. My recommendation is that all trial riders get a folding hand saw & help be a solution to the problem.

Call me in September when you've got it cleaned up with your folding hand saw.

it's been pretty bad all over the okanagan and we've had some big storms lately.  I ride with my girlfriend and she rides the quad, we pack a chain saw and we've been burning a tank of gas on the chain saw every ride.
