11 300 XC Light Kit Help

Recommended Posts

I just finished adding an enduro engineering light kit on my 2011 300 xc. Great overall kit everything was plug and play so I thought. I fired up the bike for the first time and have no headlight or tail lights. The electric starter is working fine and both fuses appear to be ok. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? Is there a wire I need to tap into for power somewhere I forgot about? Please Help!

After rereading thru the instructions I think I forgot this step..

Plug head light into the bikes wiring harness and plug the yellow and white
wires from the bikes wiring harness into headlight switch on the headlight mask.

Would this cause everything not to work?

 Sounds like it would be a good place to start.

Test for voltage at the connectors if it's still not working

I'm not familiar with the 2011 model, but on every other KTm that I have worked on, the yellow wire is the hot or power wire from the stator, if you didn't plug it into anything then real good chance you're not getting the power from the stator to ignite the circuit.

Yep, that'd do it. You need to connect the yellow and white female connectors together, either directly or through a switch.
