Baja Designs Battery POS- Upgrade?

Can anyone suggest a good sealed battery to replace the baja designs crap behind the headlight of my XR650R? 

I am assuming a small lawn-mower-ish battery will fit in that area and I can custom-wire it up.

My bike had a BD kit on it, but the battery was under the seat.  It was a pack of 8 AA NiCads, which gave up the ghost.  I just went to Costco and bought 8 rechargable AA NiMH cells for $20 and soldered up my own pack.  Works great!

12v makita battery-drill battery under seat works fine.

I have a BD kit that had the battery mounted behind the head light. The pack crapped out on me so I managed to fit the smallest battery walmart had in its place.

Note to the guy using a 12V drill battery...How?
