4-stroke chain guide options

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know whether chain guides from any other bikes fit up to the Beta 4-strokes easily? I have a 2014 498RR and would like a sturdier chain guide at some stage.

BRP and TMdesigns.. I'm not sure about other bikes cross over.. I forget now but I think ktm might be the same . I think from my gen Beta to the new one should be the same.. not verified though. here's an ancient cross reference..

I bought one of these to go on my Beta 525 and just didn't put it on yet.(got my 300 and my 525 is on the back burner for now) It's supposed to fit since the ktm guide is supposed to be the same.. Sometimes the tabs on the swing arm get ripped off hitting rocks.. This brings some support.  These days Beta is getting popular so there aren't  much  need for crossover. This is just an added thought.  It's not needed. I've seen some tabs ripped off on some swing arms and thought it would be a good addition. I do see that Beta doesn't have one of these guards though on the bulletproof designs website. Later on when I put mine on I'll put it on video or take pictures.. but just to keep it in mind for the future.

I've always been pleased with the TM Designs, and after looking closely at the OEM unit on my 2014, I think I'm leaning in that direction....

My preference is to get a guide off Rocky Mountain ATV which is why I am asking about what other bike has compatible guides (as RMATV doesn't list any right now).

Best bet is a ktm guide. When I was looking for my 09 beta that was the cross reference.. No beta stuff was listed before.
